Best Ways To Lose Back Fat

Back fat is one of the hardest areas to target when you are determined to lose weight. We often neglect the back muscle and target the muscles of the front body that we see in the mirror. As you begin to lose weight from all the running and Zumba classes you're doing, you'll reveal slim, chiseled muscles waiting underneath. Here are some best exercises and tips that will target all the areas of your back.

Best Ways To Eliminate Back Fat

1 . Run

Run for 45 to 60 minutes to burn the fat in your lower back. If you are not a fan of running, ride a stationary bike, glide on an elliptical trainer, step on a stair climber or jump rope. Perform cardio exercise three times a week on nonconsecutive days.

2 . Push Ups

My personal trainer once called push ups “the perfect exercise,” and while they’re of course ideal for toning your arms, they’re also great exercises for back fat! The key is to maintain perfect form. Keep a straight line from your heels to your head, and don’t poke your butt into the air. Aim for 2 sets of 12 to 20.

3 . Renegade Row

Get into a plank position, arms out straight directly beneath your shoulders, squeezing your butt and pulling your abs tight into your spine. Hold a 3-5-pound weight in each hand. Starting with one arm at a time, pull the weight back into a row movement, engaging the upper back and delts.

4 . Jumping Rope

It might feel like you’re just working your shoulders, Stokes says, but they’re connected to your back, so it’s hitting that as well. Plus, it’s a great cardio workout that’ll burn fat all over.

5 . Cardio

A combination of cardio workout and strength training can give you excellent results. Activities like playing tennis or badminton, rowing or boxing can tone your back muscles and help to burn fat from all parts of your body.

6 . Practice Yoga

Quality strength training and cardio are key, but yoga can help you take off back fat, too. This heart-pumping yoga routine is just what you need!
