10 Home Remedies to Get Rid of Black Spots on Your Face

1 . Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is a quick and easy solution that you can find in your nearest grocery store even. Lemons have vitamin C that can lighten dark spots on your face. It’s easy to apply. Put some fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and rub it directly on the affected skin area. Then, allow it to dry and gently wash it off with plain water. Continue applying this home remedy for at least two weeks to get the desired result of a spot-free skin. If you have delicate or sensitive skin, you can also dilute the lemon juice with plain water, rosewater, or honey. Moreover, you can easily use lime juice to get rid of black spots, applying it in the same manner that has been described above.

2 . Buttermilk

Lactic acid present in buttermilk is very good for your skin. Brown spots can be removed with the help of buttermilk. Apply some buttermilk on your brown spots with the help of a cotton swab and let it rest on for a couple of minutes and then wash it with plain water. If you are having oily skin or acne then, add a little lemon juice to the buttermilk before applying. Otherwise you can try mixing 4 teaspoons of buttermilk with 2 teaspoons of tomato juice before applying on the affected area. The spots start to fade by doing this regularly.

3 . Castor Oil

Castor oil is another great remedy to remove dark spots. It has got strong healing properties, which can help you get rid of age spots effectively. Apply castor oil with a clean cotton ball twice in a day, once in the morning and once at night respectively. Now massage it gently over the affected area for a couple of minutes. You can also use coconut oil, Vitamin E oil, almond oil or olive oil to cure dark spots. This method also helps you make the skin tone even.

4 . Olive oil

Olive oil is very effective in this case. Soak a cotton ball in olive oil and use it on the spots. You can apply the oil and rub it with some force as to eliminate acne blemishes of the skin and to get some exfoliating effect. A good substitute for olive oil is to use coconut oil to clean stains.

5 . Oats

Oatmeal powder is generally considered to be good for skin exfoliation. Hence, you can always apply an oatmeal mask on your face and your neck to remove all traces of dead skin and black spots. All you need to do id grind half a cup of rolled oats and add three to four tablespoons of lemon juice to make a paste. Then, scrub it on your skin and wash it off in a gentle manner with warm water when it dries. If it becomes too messy for you, use a clean cloth soaked in warm water to remove the mask from your face. Follow this treatment once or twice a week for desired results.

6 . Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E oil has natural form of antioxidants in it. These antioxidants will help to even out our skin tones and to reduce the dark spots on our face. Many beauty products are enriched with this oil and help to lighten dark spots and you can see noticeable difference in your face.

7 . Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is an effective remedy for healing skin stings, burns and brown spots. It acts as a lubricant and nourishes rashes and blackheads. Rub fresh aloe vera gel / oil gently on the dark spots. Allow it to stay for about 45 min before rinsing it off with cold water. Repeat this procedure two times a day for one month. Simultaneously, you can also take 2 tablespoons of aloe vera juice everyday on an empty stomach for quick results.

8 . Yogurt

Yogurt helps you to lighten brown spots in a natural way. Apply plain yogurt directly on the age spots and let it to dry for 20 minutes and then wash it with cold water. To get results instantly apply yogurt on the dark spots before going sleeping and leave it overnight. You can make a face pack by mixing 1 tbsp of plain yogurt, 2 tbsp of oatmeal powder and 1 tsp of fresh lemon juice. Apply this pack onto the affected skin and leave it for about half an hour. Apply any moisturizer, after rinsing it off with cold water. Repeat this every day for 1 – 2 months to get best results.

9 . Almonds

Take around 8-10 almonds and soak them in milk overnight. Next, peel off the skin and grind the almonds in the morning. Now, add about one teaspoon sandalwood powder and half a teaspoon of honey in it. Mix these well to make a fine paste and apply it on your face. Leave the mask on your face for about 30 minutes and then wash it off.

10 . Lemon Juice And Tomato Juice


Apply this mixture on the spots. This will help fade dark spots on the face as both ingredients have natural bleaching properties. Leave this mixture overnight and wash off with lukewarm water in the morning.You can also apply parsley juice mixed with orange, lemon and red carrot juice on your skin as it has a lightening effect that works well with freckles and brown spots.
