9 Home Remedies For Skin Pigmentation

1 . Aloe Vera Juice

Gently apply aloe vera juice or gel on the affected area and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash it off with warm water. Aloe vera contains mucilaginous polysaccharides that can effectively lighten dark spots.

2 . Almond And Milk

Sometimes dryness of skin can also cause pigmentation. For this, removing the dryness of the skin is essential in removing pigmentation. Almond has natural fatty acids and nutrients that can very well moisturise the skin and nourish it, removing any traces of skin pigmentation. The natural moisturising oil in milk too can effectively combat dryness of skin. Milk is also a lightening agent of sorts.

3 . Cucumber

Very helpful in reducing skin pigmentation fa des freckles and blemishes. 1 tbsp of cucumber juice is to be used in conjunction with 1 tbsp honey and 1 tbsp lemon/lime juice for best results.

4 . Avocado

Avocado can also be used to cure skin pigmentation. You can prepare a paste by mashing a raw avocado and apply this paste on the affected area to reduce pigmentation. Avocado juice can also be directly applied as an alternative.

5 . With Guava And Banana

The lycopene content in guava has made it a great home remedy for treating darkening of skin due to exposure to the sun and dark pigmentation. Banana exfoliates the skin and lightens pigmented areas.

6 . Lime

Lime or lemon juice is a potent bleaching agent. You can directly rub the juice of a lemon on your skin though this may be a little too harsh on your skin and may dry the skin out.Another alternative is to mix a few drops of lemon juice in a bowl of curd and then apply this curd mixture all over your face and body. This will soothe and moisturize your skin and also reduce pigmentation.

7 . Pigmentation With Lemon And Cucumber

Two wonderful skin lightening agents when put together can surely work wonders. The cool caress of cucumber and the lightening action of lemon do not disappoint, provided you give it enough importance and apply it every day. Apply every day in the morning and evening and leave it on for 20 minutes.

8 . Licorice

You can mix licorice extract in water and spread this solution with a cotton cloth on the affected area for a period of 10 – 15 minutes to reduce skin pigmentation.It is important to note that licorice extract is very strong and therefore a skin lotion should be applied after removing the mixture.

9 . Turmeric Powder

Ancient medicine has proved to be an amazing source of fair and smooth skin. Turmeric is an important part of ancient  medicine. It has wonderful properties that provide nutrients to the skin and protects it from discoloration. If skin discoloration plagues you, apply turmeric regularly to get back your normal skin. Mix it with milk or lemon juice, the choice is yours. Once dry, wash it off with warm water.

 10 . Sandal Powder

Sandal has cooling qualities and works as a scrub to give you a smooth skin texture. This is really important, keeping in mind the fact that it is the heat in the body that causes acne, dryness, and itching. These skin problems can further lead to discoloration. With regular use of sandalwood powder, you can soothe the skin and heal skin discoloration.

11 . Orange Skin And Milk

Grate the skin of an orange and make a paste / gel with few teaspoons of milk. Leave it on for half an hour and then massage gently and wash it off with warm water. Exfoliate your face at least 3 to 4 times a week with this paste. Exfoliation encourages cell renewal and removes the dark blotches.

12 . Papaya

You can rub papaya juice extracted from a grated papaya on the affected area to treat the problem of skin pigmentation. It is important to use this remedy for 6 – 7 weeks for obtaining highly effective results.
