2 . Banana

This is the most cost-effective and least time consuming procedure. Just mash half a banana and that will be enough for the whole body. Apply the mashed banana all over your clean body beginning from neck down to the feet. Apply on your face too but in the end because the body needs more time to get hydrated and moisturized than the face.

3 . Cucumber And Cucumber juice

According to Dr Salonee Chawla, a dermatologist, cucumber is a natural astringent. "It contains lots of water which helps hydrate your skin," she explains.

Grate fresh raw cucumber and apply it to the area that has flaky skin. Let it remain for about 20 minutes. You will instantly feel the soothing effect that fights skin dryness successfully. The juice of cucumber is really beneficial for skin. Thus, it is recommended that you apply this herbal remedy regularly. You can apply cucumber juice on the affected area for ten to fifteen minutes every day.

4 . Sandalwood, Turmeric, Honey And Olive Oil

Mix together 1 teaspoon each of sandalwood powder, turmeric powder, and honey. Now, add olive oil to make a thin paste. Mix well and apply it on the peeled skin. After 30 minutes, wash and dry it off. lternatively, you can make use of sandalwood soap.

5 . Oats

Yet another kitchen product that can be used to cure peeling skin is oats. It’s the best remedy for peeled fingertips. Take a large bowl and fill it with warm water. Now, add a handful of powdered oats in the bowl. Immerse your fingers in the bowl for 10 to 15 minutes. Bathe your hands using clean water and then pat dry softly with a cotton towel. Afterwards, apply a gentle moisturizer. This easy-to-use home remedy efficiently removes the dead skin cells, making your fingers smooth and soft. For quick and better results, use this remedy every day before going to bed.

6 . Castor Oil And Almond Oil

Almond oil is another very rejuvenating ingredient. Include almond oil and olive oil in your diet and chew on some almonds every day. You can also apply some almond oil mixed with a little bit of castor oil for an instant supple feel.

7 . Lemon Juice With Honey

You can use lemon halves with sugar or lemon juice with honey to rub over the affected areas. Both work equally well. You can either cut a lemon in half and put some sugar on it and rub it on your skin till the sugar melts into your skin or squeeze out 3-4 tablespoons of lemon juice and mix it with one teaspoon of honey and massage your skin with it in circular motions with the finger tips for about ten minutes.

"The fats present in olive oil have a similar composition to the fat cells present in the skin. The vitamin E in it helps the skin fight free radicals which are generally responsible for bad skin," says Dr Rutuj Shetty, a dermatologist. You can massage your skin with olive oil as well as include it in your diet.

9 . Honey Pack


"Honey contains fructose, water, oil, glucose and enzymes which act as natural skin moisturisers," says Dr Shetty. Massage your face with honey and leave it for 10-20 minutes before washing it off. This will make your skin soft and supple.

10 . Grapes

Grapes have AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) which sloughs off the dead skin cells. Rather than purchasing AHA products, you may apply a grape mask. Take any variety of grapes and mash them in the juicer. Now, apply these mashed-up grapes as a face mask. After 15 to 30 minutes, wash off the mixture.

11 . Rub Your Skin With Lemon

"Lemon is a strong astringent which has the ability to dissolve dead skin," says Dr Chawla. Dilute some lemon juice with water and apply on your skin, particularly on the affected area. You can then scrape off the dead skin gently with a tissue.
