1 . Aloe Vera gel

Aloe Vera gel is a good remedy for sunburn. It cures the burning sensation and redness caused by the burning. It causes constriction of blood vessels. You can buy the Aloe Vera plant from a local nursery. To extract the aloe juice from the plant, make a cut in the aloe leaf. The gel will come out of the leaf. Apply the gel on the affected skin directly. Do this remedy five times daily until the sunburn is cured.

2 . Baking Soda

Baking soda doesn’t just remove stains but it also banishes the sting from your sunburn. All you need to do is mix about 4 tablespoons of baking soda with a small bowl of water, soak some cotton balls with the mixture, then apply it to your skin. Simple as that and you’ll find yourself sting-free once again.

3 . Cucumbers

Cucumbers have natural antioxidant and analgesic properties. Chill cucumbers, then mash in a blender to create a paste, and apply to affected areas including the face.

4 . Cold Water

Use either plain water from the faucet or add a few ice cubes, says Michael Schreiber, MD. Dip a cloth into the liquid and lay it over the burn. Repeat every few minutes as the cloth warms. Apply several times a day for a total of 10 to 15 minutes each.

5 . Carrot Seed Oil

The oil prepared from carrot seeds helps to do away with precancerous skin spots and is greatly advantageous to skin that has been damaged by the sun. The carrot oil is laden with beta carotene, a precursor of Vitamin A. This is an antioxidant that helps ward off against skin cancer that has been caused by sun exposure.

As the sun fried your skin, it also dehydrated it. Be sure to replenish liquids by drinking plenty of water while recovering from a sunburn. Being well hydrated will help burns heal better. You'll know you're hydrated when your urine runs almost clear.

7 . Egg Whites

Mix two egg whites in one tablespoonful of honey and one tablespoonful of witch hazel. Mix it well. Apply directly on to the affected area to get a cooling, relieving sensation.

Green tea is known to keep the weight under control, taper down lupus symptoms, and many more magical acts.The green tea bags can be soaked in chilled water and then applied on the areas that have been burnt. The sticky stuff's been used as a topical burn salve since Egyptian days. "Studies suggest it may work better than some antibiotic creams at speeding up healing, reducing infection, and minimizing pain," says Kathi Kemper, M.D., author of The Holistic Pediatrician.

10 . Ice

Wrap an ice pack or a bag of frozen veggies in a soft towel and apply to the burn. Never place ice directly on skin as it can cause frostbite and more damage.

11 . Johnswort Essential Oil


Have bath with cold water mixed with lavender oil. You can add some tea to the bath water. You can use green tea for this. Apply chamomile or elderflower infusion on the skin. You can also apply the calendula and chickweed infusion. Mix vinegar and water in equal amount. Fill the solution in a bottle that has spray. Spray the liquid on the affected skin.

12 . Kukui Nut Oil

Apply kukui nut oil on the skin. Kukui is very popular in Hawaiian Islands. You can use Vitamin E topically by rubbing it on the skin. For this, you have to break Vitamin E capsules to get the liquid. You can also apply tocopherol acetate supplement on the skin.
